Sugar Cookies

I love a good soft sugar cookie that you can use for any occasion. One you can easily frost and take to a playgroup or hand out at the holidays. This one comes from a church friend, Joni.

3/4 c. butter or marg.
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Mix first four ingredients, blend in rest. Chill at least 1 hour.
Roll dough thick, cut into shapes. Place on ungreased cookie
sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Dough may seem
a little sticky, buy you can add more flour when you roll it out.

Frosting:
1/3 c. butter
4 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Enjoy!!
