1/2 cup olive oil
6 cloves garlic
small onion chopped
small anchovy can or 2 drops anchovy paste
2 large cans whole tomatoes (crush them into pieces)
1 can crushed tomatoes
2 cans small tomato sauce
1 large can tomato paste
2 cups dry white wine
1 tsp crushed red pepper
3 dashes of salt
3 dashes of pepper
7 basil leaves, chopped
handful of Italian parsley
pinch of sugar
In a large pot with no lid, saute oil, garlic and onion (don't burn). Add remaining ingredients and bring to a rapid boil. Simmer for 2 hours stirring often.
